Courtroom Video Units

This information is for Court or Court Related Department Employees with a Lifesize License

Inviting an outside party to participate by Lifesize. 

  • Create a permanent meeting in Lifesize with the case caption, date and time. 
  • Copy the meeting link only, do not copy all calling details
  • Send the meeting link to participant along with the information provided below (see email template)

You do not need a Lifesize account but may choose to create a free account using this link. https://signup.lifesize.com/?lang=en-US

 You may also enter as a guest:

  • Click the meeting link provided above
  • If prompted, select Allow to permit use of your camera and microphone.
  • Enter your name (required) and email (optional).
  • Click or tap Video & Audio settings to adjust video and audio settings.
  • Click or tap Join Meeting.

During the meeting you will see control options at the bottom as shown. Please keep your microphone muted unless you are called on to speak.

Bringing The Courtroom Video Unit Into the Meeting While Present in the Courtroom

Common Pleas Courtroom Video Units  ( step by step instructions click here )

  • Locate the touch panel located at the clerks station. Touch the call icon.
  • Using the keyboard number and letter keys type in the meeting video address numbers followed by @lifesizecloud.com     (Example - 7723882@lifesizecloud.com 
  • Press the check mark icon on the keyboard.
  • Touch the call icon. 
  • *Courtroom 12 use the remote process below.

Magisterial District Court Offices 

  • Touch the call icon located on the video unit screen.
  • Using the keyboard number and letter keys type in the meeting video address numbers followed by @lifesizecloud.com     (Example - 7723882@lifesizecloud.com
  • Touch the call icon. 

Bringing the Courtroom Video Unit into the Meeting Remotely

  • Using your device Enter the meeting with your own Lifesize account.
  • Use the add participant option and search for the courtroom video unit. Common Pleas video units are named by courtroom number and MDC units are named by MDJ name and court number. (example- Courtroom 5 or Roth 02-2-02)
  • If you are in the courtroom make sure your mic is muted and the sound on your device is off.
